Power Capabilities
The new Ford F-150 is available with five different engine layouts. Customers have numerous options between gasoline engine, diesel engines, and even hybrid powertrains with the new F-150 lineup. The base engine of the new F-150 lineup produces 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. 400 horsepower and 570 pound-feet of torque is driven to the wheels of the F-150 models that are equipped with the new hybrid powertrain option. Equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine and a 35-kilowatt electric motor setup, the hybrid F-150 models are the most powerful truck models of the new Ford F-150 lineup.
Towing Capabilities
The new hybrid Ford F-150 offers the greatest towing capacity, with a maximum weight limit of 14,000 pounds. The 5.0-liter V8 engine that is offered with the Ford F-150 allows the truck to tow up to 13,000 pounds of weight. When properly equipped, the F-150 also has a maximum payload capacity of 3,250 pounds.
