Bronco also has an aggressive available 43.2-degree approach angle.

Ground Clearance & Water Fording

Stay clear of sharp rocks and other obstacles with an available ground clearance of 11.6 inches with the 2-door model and 11.5 inches on the 4-door. Also, with its high-mounted air intake and ground clearance, Bronco has a fording capability of up to 33.5 inches when equipped with the available Sasquatch™ Package.

Off-Road Hero Switches

Depending on trim or options, just a push of a button engages the available front locking differential, the available rear locking differential, available sway-bar disconnect or the available Trail Turn Assist.

Electronic Front Locking Differential

Electronic front locking differentials are standard on Badlands^™ and included in the Sasquatch^™ Package. The Sasquatch Package is available on all 2022 Ford Bronco trims and standard on Wildtrak^™ and Everglades.^™ The M210 Dana^™ Spicer^® Performa-TraK^™ independent front axle is standard on Badlands^™ and Wildtrak.^™

Electronic Rear Locking Differential

The M220 Dana^™ Spicer^® Performa-TraK^™ electronic rear-locking differential is available as a standalone option on Big Bend^™ and Outer Banks.^™ It is standard on Black Diamond,^™ Badlands,^™ Wildtrak,^™ Everglades^™ and all vehicles equipped with the available Sasquatch^™ Package.

Front Stabilizer Bar Disconnect

For extreme rock crawling, you want your front tires to be able to move up and down independently from one another. The available stabilizer bar disconnect feature helps them do just that. So, for you to move freely over rugged, uneven terrain, the system (when engaged in Rock-Crawl Mode or manually), disconnects over uneven terrain — providing maximum articulation. The system offers a unique-to-the-class design and has a disconnect function regardless of articulation. The Bar can also be reconnected automatically when speeds exceed 20 mph on Badlands™ and 50 mph on Raptor.™ Standard on Badlands™ and Raptor.™

New for ’22, Sasquatch™ Package with Available Manual Transmission

From the weekend warrior to the off-road purist, tough climbs and slow crawls are a little more rewarding with a manual transmission. It’s why one will now be offered on select 2022 Ford Bronco models with the available Sasquatch™ Package.

Sport Mode

For sporty driving with improved performance handling and response. This mode increases accelerator pedal response and provides a sportier steering feel. The powertrain system holds onto lower gears longer, helping your vehicle accelerate faster. Two-wheel drive high is the default four-wheel drive mode. Four-wheel drive low is not selectable in sport mode Standard on Base, Big Bend,^™ Outer Banks,^™ Wildtrak,™ Black Diamond™ and Raptor.™

Eco Mode

Tuned to help reduce fuel consumption; potentially in exchange for reduced vehicle performance including earlier upshifts, detuned part throttle response, and default to 2WD. Eco mode is standard on all 2022 Ford Bronco™ trims.

Normal Mode

For everyday driving. Normal mode is a perfect balance of excitement, comfort and convenience. Standard on all 2022 Ford Bronco™ trims.

Slippery Mode

Enables more confident driving on slippery surfaces and helps make the vehicle easier to control. Slippery mode lowers throttle response and optimizes shifting on unstable surfaces. Traction and stability controls are made more restrictive for tighter control. Slippery mode is standard on all 2022 Ford Bronco™ trims.

Sand Mode

For off-road use only and standard on all Bronco™ trims except Raptor.™ Use this mode for fun driving in soft, dry sand. Allows more wheelslip to minimize stoppage.

Mud/Ruts Mode

For off-road use only. Mud/Ruts mode adapts vehicle systems to give an optimum experience when driving on muddy, rutted, soft or uneven terrain. The traction and stability controls are made less restrictive to allow more wheelspin, clear mud from tires and help maintain vehicle momentum. This mode is standard on Big Bend.^™ Outer Banks,^™ Wildtrak,^™ Black Diamond^™ and Badlands.^™

Rock Crawl Mode

For off-road use only. Used for very low speed and controlled crossing of aggressive uneven terrain that can include large rocks. Standard on Black Diamond,™ Badlands™ and Raptor.™

Baja Mode

For off-road use only. Vehicle response tuned for higher-speed off-road performance. Standard on Wildtrak,™ Badlands™ and Raptor.™

Tow-Haul Mode

For improved transmission operation when towing a trailer or a heavy load. This mode moves upshifts to higher engine speeds to reduce the frequency of transmission shifting. This mode also provides engine braking in all forward gears, which slows your vehicle and assists you in controlling your vehicle when descending a slope. The amount of downshift braking provided varies based on the amount you press the brake pedal. Standard on Raptor.™

Off-Road Mode

For off-road use only. This mode optimizes accelerator pedal response, traction and stability controls to enhance vehicle performance in off-road environments. If your vehicle becomes stuck in deep conditions, this mode may be preferred. Standard on Raptor.™

Trail Turn Assist

This class-exclusive feature assists the driver by reducing the vehicle’s turning radius in low-speed, technical off-road environments that require large steering input. This is accomplished through application of negative (brake) torque to the inside rear wheel of the turning vehicle. Trail Turn Assist heightens off-road fun by reducing the driver’s effort required to negotiate difficult off-road terrain.

Trail Control™

Available with automatic transmissions, Trail Control™ is basically a cruise-control setting for lowspeed trail driving and relieves the stress of constantly adjusting throttle and braking when offroading.

Trail 1-Pedal Drive

Class-exclusive, Trail 1-Pedal Drive augments Trail Control™ in more technical terrain. It enables very low-speed crawling and the ability to stop a vehicle without using the brake pedal. When the driver lifts off the accelerator pedal, hydraulic brake torque is applied. Only available with 2.7L and 3.0L EcoBoost® engines with automatic transmission option.

SYNC® 4

The 2022 Bronco™ has a standard SYNC® 4 technology. The standard SYNC® 4 technology on Bronco comes with an eight-inch screen or the class-exclusive, available 12-inch screen. SYNC® 4 will rely heavily on the cloud. However, it will still retain on-board processing power to minimize performance issues in dead zones — meaning your road trip is in good hands even when you go off the beaten path.

360-Degree Camera with Off-Road Views

The available 360-degree camera, part of the High Package, utilizes front-, rear- and mirror-mounted cameras to provide a full bird’s-eye view around the vehicle. Included with the class-exclusive 360-degree camera are the unique off-road spotter views that help provide additional visibility and support to drivers in their pursuit of outdoor experiences like rock crawling. One is the unique off-road tire views (rock crawler spotter views) that are specifically designed to see where the tires meet the ground surface along with any adjacent obstacles or potential contact points that Bronco is driving over. The other is off-road overlays. Using the front camera, off-road overlays show the path that the wheels will be traveling in order to help drivers navigate their way across wild and rugged terrain.

Hill Descent Control™

When enabled by the driver, Hill Descent Control automatically engages the braking system as needed to keep you in control while descending steep grades. Standard on manual transmission. Only available with manual transmission in lieu of Trail Control.

Rear View Camera with Backup Assist

The Rear View Camera provides a video image on the touchscreen of the area behind your vehicle. The camera is activated when you shift into Reverse and back up slowly. The screen has guides to help you align your vehicle with a trailer or assist you with backing up into tight spaces.

Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB)

We should all drive defensively, but sometimes other drivers’ lack of attention can create a hazard. This feature scans the road ahead and can alert you to potential collisions with vehicles or pedestrians detected in your path. If an impact becomes imminent and you don’t take corrective action, the brakes can apply automatically. But don’t worry — they’ll only activate if they’re needed.

Auto High-Beam Headlamps

We’ve all been there. Heading into a pitch-black stretch of road and having to turn on the high beams — then forgetting to turn them off again as oncoming traffic approaches. Now, unlit roads, dark peripheries and other low-visibility situations don’t have to catch you off-guard. Auto High Beam Headlamps can sense poor lighting conditions and switch on to light your path ahead. They can even sense oncoming headlamps and dim automatically so you don’t have to worry about blinding other drivers. So, you can keep your focus — and both hands on the wheel.

2-Door Ford Bronco

The classic 2-door Ford Bronco stays closer to the original Bronco DNA with its boxy shape, short overhangs and wide stance. While it only has two doors, those doors are longer than those in the 4-door to provide easier access to second-row seating.

4-Door Ford Bronco

The 2022 4-door Ford Bronco retains the classic Bronco look, but makes it a bit more family friendly. The 4-door Bronco seats five and has a longer wheelbase. Plus, if you remove all four doors, you can stow them in the cargo area.

Ford Bronco Roofs

2-door models come standard with a hardtop while the 4-door comes standard with a soft top but can be ordered with an optional hardtop.

Standard 2-Door Roof

This hardtop is Carbonized Gray Molded-in-Color (MIC) and has a standard rear-window defroster and washer plus a storage bag for front-row roof panels.

4-Door Soft Top Roof

The 4-door Ford Bronco comes standard with a black soft top. It has a special tilting feature for easy access to the rear cargo area.
