Smart
Technology For Confidence On The Road.
The Transit Connect Cargo Van offers a wide range of available technologies to help you be aware of your surroundings and ever-changing traffic conditions. From the driveway to the highway, the available Ford Co-Pilot360ā¢ driver-assist technologies help keep you connected and confident as you take to the road and move your business forward.
Pre-Collision Assist With Automatic Emergency Braking
If the systemās sensors detect a potential collision with a car or pedestrian in front of you, a warning flashes and an audible alert sounds. Also, the brakes will precharge and increase brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you do brake. If you do not take corrective action and a collision is imminent, the brakes can apply automatically.
Lane-Keeping System
The available Lane-Keeping System, included with available Adaptive Cruise Control, employs a camera mounted behind the windshield which scans the road lane markings to determine vehicle position and to detect an unintentional lane departure. Operational during day or night, the Lane-Keeping System warns you through a series of steering wheel vibrations, which mimic a rumble strip, should the system detect an unintentional lane departure.
Available Auto High-Beam Headlamps
Auto High-Beam Headlamps can sense poor lighting conditions and switch on to light your path ahead. They can even sense oncoming headlamps and dim automatically, so you donāt have to worry about blinding other drivers. They can help you keep your focus on the road ā and both hands on the wheel.
Available BLIS® With Cross-Traffic Alert
BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert uses radar to determine if a vehicle is detected in your blind spot and alerts you with an indicator light in the appropriate exterior mirror. Cross-Traffic Alert also uses radar to watch for traffic behind your vehicle as youāre slowly backing out of a parking spot or driveway. If cross-traffic sensors detect a vehicle, you will be audibly and visually alerted.
Rear View Camera
The Rear View Camera provides a video image on the center-stack screen of the area behind your vehicle. The camera is activated when you shift into Reverse and back up slowly. The screen has guides to help you align your vehicle with a trailer or assist you with backing up in tight places.
Adaptive Cruise Control
The available Adaptive Cruise Control slows down your vehicle if the traffic ahead has slowed. As soon as things clear, youāll resume your preset speed. Available Lane-Keeping System is included in Adaptive Cruise Control.
Wireless Charging
For compatible devices, an available wireless inductive phone charger lets you charge your phone by just setting it down. This means no more struggling with ports, plugs or charging cables.
Ford Telematics Essentials
Receive complimentary access to Vehicle Health data for Ford vehicles with an embedded modem, including odometer reading, malfunction and warning lights related to diagnostic trouble codes and information about oil life, engine hours and recalls.
Ford Telematics™
Monitor your vehicles to understand where they go, how theyāre used and how theyāre running. Modems come standard in new Ford vehicles, or an available plug-in device can connect your entire fleet, even if they are not Ford vehicles.
Ford Telematics Drive App
Included with Ford Telematics, Ford Telematics Drive allows drivers to complete daily checklists from a mobile app. This reduces paperwork and gives Fleet Managers more insights into the condition of their fleet.
Ford Data Services™
Ford Data Services allows you access to manufacturer-grade data from Ford vehicles to your business system or an authorized telematics service provider through an API.
Wex Fleet Fuel Cards
More than a secure way to pay, WEX fuel cards can help you keep expenses under control. Plus, theyāre accepted at 95% of U.S. gas stations.
Fordpass Connectā¢

- Lock, unlock and start your vehicle remotely
- Use FordPay to conveniently pay for service
- Receive key vehicle info and schedule service

EcoMode And EcoCoach
With the standard 2.0L engine, EcoMode and EcoCoach monitor fuel economy and encourage eco-conscious driving behaviors.
Forward And Reverse Sensing Systems
If your vehicle is in Drive and moving slowly, the Forward Sensing System will sound a high-pitched beeping tone if something is there in front of your vehicle. The beeps will become more rapid as you approach an object, and within 12 inches they become a solid tone. The sensors turn off when you put your vehicle in Park or Neutral. The Reverse Sensing System works the same way using sensors in the rear bumper.
Side-Wind Stabilization System
Standard side-wind stabilization technology is designed to help reduce driver stress while operating a vehicle in high winds. The system monitors sensors and, if a strong wind gust is detected, it carefully applies the brakes on one side to help the driver stay in his/her lane. It works alongside Roll Stability Controlā¢ on slippery surfaces ā to help avoid skids, lateral slides and potential vehicle rollovers.
